Every Wealthsimple product onboarded clients in its own way. The challenge was to design a flow that any product or team could reuse, starting with the new credit card.
As design lead on the Clients and Accounts team, where I focus on making every product and account onboarding smooth and converting, I designed Wealthsimple’s first product-first onboarding: a web-first entry point built as a reusable flow and template that any team can use to onboard clients. It was a highly collaborative effort that brought many teams together to align on one scalable approach.
Since it shipped, credit card approval and adoption have increased by 85%, and other teams can now build on the same template to onboard clients to their products.

Business accounts come with complex financial concepts that owners need to understand before they commit.
Partnered closely with product management to turn those concepts into intuitive onboarding, and championed consistency across web and mobile so the experience feels cohesive across the Wealthsimple platform.
Business accounts now serve more than 30,000 business clients.

Mistplay, the #1 loyalty app for mobile gamers, earns revenue when game studios pay to reach its players. That model only works if players stay engaged week after week.
Turned solo play into friendly competition: a weekly tournament around one Loyalty game, where players earn extra rewards for ranking higher. I shaped the approach with product managers and UX researchers based on risk and timelines, validated it through prototypes and research, and partnered with engineering to ship it. I also stepped in as team lead whenever our manager needed support.
User retention rose about 27% after Leaderboards launched, alongside other engagement features I designed, including a redesigned onboarding, phone verification, and the limited-time event tray.

When I joined, the team relied on two outdated, disorganized design systems, which led to an inconsistent design process and no stable foundation to build on.
I audited the entire app and every component from both systems, kept what was worth keeping, and redesigned the rest for consistency. Over several months, I built one polished library spanning multiple categories, and partnered closely with engineers so design and build match 1:1. I also set up recurring sessions with marketing so product and brand evolved together.
The team’s design process and maturity improved significantly. Every design file now follows the system and its tokens, keeping design and code in sync.

Millions of merchants rely on Shopify POS to sell in person, across 175+ countries. They need hardware and software that simply work together, from pairing a card reader to managing every device on a busy shop floor.
I partnered with the Industrial Design team on in-person testing trips across the US and Canada, so we could shape the end-to-end POS experience around real merchant needs. I refined the Hardware Help Center and device management, contributed to the new POS Go device, and led the design of a native POS app for mobile that works seamlessly from tablets to phones. I also planned our roadmap with my manager and mentored junior designers.
87% of POS merchants now manage their hardware through the connectivity experience, on a platform used by more than 1 million businesses.

Newcomers to Canada face a maze of decisions, from banking to housing, with little guidance they can trust. Arrive, an RBCx venture, set out to help them build a network and get started, while opening their first Canadian bank account with RBC.
As the sole designer, I led all design for Arrive: the brand, website, app and marketing campaigns. Talking to newcomers shaped both a multicultural identity and the app’s architecture, including a personalized Journey tool that guides each step from pre-arrival to post-landing. I partnered with RBC stakeholders to add an Immigration Experts section, and used product data to decide when to iterate. On RBC Ventures’ Strategic Design team, I also shared insights across ventures and mentored junior designers.
Arrive became one of RBC’s most valuable ventures, with 136,560 active users mainly from India, China and Africa, over 1 million website visitors, and 4,000 bank accounts opened since 2019.
